Apple have announced that developers can soon offer in-app NFC transactions to their apps using Apple's contactless payments system, which means you may soon start to see some crypto apps offer “tap to pay” style payments at the register.

On Wednesday hackers took over the official McDonalds instagram account and used it to shill (promote) a “fake token” that the hackers created based on the restaurant's purple mascot Grimace. Remember to always do your due diligence on any cryptocurrency tokens you choose to invest in and always be careful clicking on unfamiliar links.

FED Chair Jerome Powell spoke at their annual retreat in Jackson Hole Wyoming just minutes ago where he said “The time has come for policy to adjust”, declining to provide exact indications on timing, he said “Inflation has declined significantly. The labor market is no longer overheated, and conditions are now less tight than those that prevailed before the pandemic,” Powell said. “Supply constraints have normalized. And the balance of the risks to our two mandates has changed.” indicating rate cuts are ahead.

Taking a look at the Bitcoin ETF flow for the week, we have had consistent total inflows every day this week with IBIT really leading the charge, indicating that there is strong institutional interest in the digital currency. Ethereum ETF flow is not looking as hot with consistent daily total outflows for the week.
